“Oklahoma Giant”

Acrocanthosaurus atokensis. Named after the county in Oklahoma where it was discovered. At almost 40 feet in length, the nearly complete skeleton is an awesome sight. This painting is actually part one of a series of explorations on this dinosaur. I have been consulting with a paleontologist at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History on this species and after seeing this first painting he has suggested a few alterations which I have noted for the next painting.
